Jazz Aspen Snowmass’ Labor Day Experience To Feature John Mayer, Sting, Portugal. The Man, More

first_imgJazz Aspen Snowmass has announced the lineup of artists who will headline its Labor Day Weekend Experience at the end of next summer. Sting, John Mayer, country singer Luke Combs, and Portugal. The Man will all perform at the Labor Day Weekend event, which takes place at Snowmass Town Park in Snowmass, Colorado on August 30th – September 1st next year. The mini-festival is currently the only solo concert in the U.S. for John Mayer in 2019, who just last week announced a run of international tour dates scheduled for next spring. The Labor Day event is also one of the only performances which Sting has on his own tour schedule at the moment, aside from an August concert in Las Vegas with his 2018 collaborator, Shaggy. Seeing Portugal. The Man’s name on the lineup should come as no surprise, as the popular alt-rock band from Portland, Oregon have made 2018 a breakout year with a world tour in support of their 2017 studio album, Woodstock. The band’s lengthy 2018 concert schedule came to an end with a pair of shows in their original hometown of Anchorage, Alaska back in late October.Luke Combs represents the country music realm on the event poster. Combs has also been touring heavily since the 2017 release of his own debut studio album, This One’s for You.“[Jazz Aspen] is thrilled to welcome two iconic artists who we’ve long hoped to present and have been among the artists JAS attendees have most requested to hear on our main stage,” Jazz Aspen President Jim Horowitz mentioned in a statement to go with Monday’s announcement. The poster also goes on to note that more artists and special guests have yet to be announced for the 2019 end-of-summer event.2018 JAS Labor Day Experience performers included Zac Brown Band, Lionel Richie, Jack Johnson, Fitz and The Tantrums, Michael Franti & Spearhead, and Gary Clark Jr., just to name a few. The picturesque venue sits in the shadows of the Elk Mountain Range, and typically sees a daily attendance of over 10,000 fans during the Labor Day event, according to the company’s website.Early Bird Tickets for the weekend event are on sale now, with single-day passes scheduled to begin on-sale at a later date to go with the arrival of the full lineup.last_img read more
